Add Contacts to a Submittal Distribution List and Send the Submittal

This topic describes how to add contacts to a submittal distribution list and send the submittal to the Actions object on the Control Center.

To add contacts to a submittal distribution list and send the submittal:

  1. Expand the Logs folder and click Submittals to open the Submittals Log Window.
  2. Click the document icon for the submittal that you want to distribute to contacts. The Submittal Document Window opens.
  3. Click the Review Cycles tab and click the Distributions subordinate tab.
  4. Click Add to open the Distribute Submittal Dialog Box.
  5. In the Copies field, specify the number of copies you want to send to each of the contacts.
  6. In the Remarks field, enter any remarks you want to include.
  7. Click Select to open the Select Contacts Dialog Box. Select contacts to distribute the submittal to.
  8. Clear the Transmit options for the contacts if you do not want Contract Management to automatically create transmittals.
  9. Click Save when finished.

When the document is saved, the selected contacts appear on the Distributions subordinate tab and the submittal appears in the Actions object on the Workspace of each contact in the distribution list.
