You can use a drawing set to create a submittal package that includes one submittal for each drawing in the set. After you create a submittal package from a drawing set, the new submittal package and the drawing set are linked. This allows you to quickly access one from the other.
To create a submittal package from a drawing set:
After you click Finish, the Submittal Package page opens with the new submittal package, which includes a submittal for each drawing in the drawing set. The package name and title are auto-generated from the name and title of the drawing set.
On the General tab, the Drawing Set field provides a link to the drawing set that you used to create the submittal package. Similarly, the General tab of the drawing set used to create the submittal package now provides a link to the new submittal package in the Submittal Package field.
The Submittals tab includes a link to each new submittal in the package. The name and title of each new submittal is auto-generated from the name and title of the corresponding drawing in the drawing set. The number of each new submittal is also auto generated.
The Details tab includes a link to the drawing set used to create the submittal package. Similarly, the Details tab of the drawing set includes a link to the new submittal package.
The Issues and Attachments tabs show the same issues and attachments as the drawing set used to create the submittal package, if you enabled these options in the Generate Submittal dialog box.
