Dictionary Item Dialog Box


Use this dialog box to add dictionary items to custom fields of types Character and Upper Case that have a dictionary. When you add dictionary definitions to custom fields, the entries appear under the custom field columns on the Custom Fields tabs of document windows. Users can then select the definition from the drop-down list to apply to the corresponding document and log.

Name

Enter a name for the dictionary entry.

Description

Enter a description of the dictionary entry.

How to access this dialog box:

  1. Right-click on the top-level folder (All Projects) and choose Custom Fields.
  2. In the Custom Fields Dialog Box, expand the appropriate document type.
  3. Either click Add to create a new custom field, or click Edit next to an existing custom field to edit it.
  4. Click Add in the Dictionary Items section of the Custom Field Dialog Box.
