Customize Layouts Dialog Box


Use this dialog box to view, create, transfer, or set layout for the current log window. Using layouts, you can define a filter, sort, and group, and apply them as one unit to a log window.

For example, if you use a certain combination of a sort, filter, and/or group repeatedly, you could create a layout that combines them and apply the layout to a log window.

A layout will appear in the same log window for all projects within a database. If you create a layout called Layout1 for the Contracts log in project DEMO, Layout1 will appear in the Contracts log in every project in that database.

Note: To use layouts, you must have access rights. Access rights for layouts are set in the User Account – Edit Window window in the Contract Management Administration Application.

Add

Click to open the New Layout Dialog Box to create a new layout.

Transfer Layouts

Click to open the Transfer Layouts Dialog Box to copy layouts from one database to another.

Set Favorite Layouts

Click to open the Set Favorite Layouts Dialog Box to assign two layouts that you use frequently to the Layout drop-down list in logs.

Layout

The name of the layout.

Click Edit to open the Customize Layout Dialog Box to edit the layout.

Click Save to open the Save Layout As Dialog Box to copy the selected layout and save it under a different name.

Filter

Click to open the Filter Dialog Box to add and edit filters.

Sort

Click to open the Sort Dialog Box to add and edit sort parameters.

Grouping

Click to open the Grouping dialog box to add and edit grouping parameters.

How to access this dialog box:

From a log window, click the Layout drop-down list and select Customize Layouts.
