Inactivate a Company

You can inactivate Company Document Window and Contact Dialog Box without deleting them. When a company is made inactive, all of its contacts are inactivated, and the company and contacts do not appear in dialog boxes and drop-down menus that contain lists of companies and/or contacts. The company and its contacts remain in the database, but do not appear in lists.

Notes:

To inactivate a company:

  1. Expand Project Information and click Companies.
  2. Open a document in Edit mode and click the Status tab.
  3. Select the Inactive option to inactivate (disable) the company without deleting it.
  4. Click Save.

    Note: To reactivate the company so that it appears in lists of companies, clear the Inactive option.
