This dialog box enables you to create complex filters using SQL statements. Use this feature only if you know and understand SQL statements!

Title

The name of the item.

Criteria

Displays the filter expression as you build it. You can type SQL statements, and manually edit the components of the expression here.

Verify

Click to verify the SQL code in the filter and report any errors.

Field

A list of the database fields that pertain to the log you are building the filter for. Selecting a field and clicking Insert adds the database name for the selected field to the end of the SQL code in the Criteria box.

How to access this dialog box:

1. From a log window, click the Layout drop-down list, and select Customize Layouts.
2. Click Add or Edit in the Customize Layouts Dialog Box, and then click new filter... in the Formatting section.
3. In the New Filter dialog box, click Advanced Filter.
