Define Submittal Categories

To organize submittals, you can define different categories. The categories you define are available in the Category drop-down list in the Submittal Document Window.

To create a submittal category:

  1. Right-click on the top-level (All Projects) folder and choose Dictionaries, Submittal, Categories. The Submittal Category Dialog Box opens.
  2. Click Add to open the Submittal Category Detail Dialog Box.
  3. Enter a description of the category.
  4. From the Move Below drop-down list, select the location below which you want to insert the definition.
  5. Click Save and Close to create the new category.

    Note: Submittal categories defined here appear in all projects in the project database.
