Organizing submittal items into packages enables you to review them at a summary or a detailed level. The Submittal Packages log window displays a one-line summary for each submittal package.
From this window, you can select and review the details of a submittal package, or add a new submittal package. You can also print a report or a form.
Buttons, Drop-Down Lists, Icons, and Links:
Add Document
Click to Add a Submittal Package to the log.
Assign Workflow
Click to open the Assign Workflow Wizard to quickly update the submittal workflow across multiple packages.
Print Report
Click to print the default report.
Print Preview
Click to display the page that will be printed.
Select an action
Click to display the list of actions you can perform on the current window.
Transmittals Queue
Click to display the items in the Transmittals Queue. From there you can select the create or remove functions that you want to perform on a transmittal.
User Productivity Kit
Click the User Productivity Kit link to launch the User Productivity Kit (sold separately), which you can use to view context-sensitive tutorials specific to the page you are viewing.
The Applicable Content checkbox will be marked. If specific tutorial content exists, select the appropriate link to display it. If specific tutorial content does not exist, clear the Applicable Content checkbox to choose from the list of available general tutorials.
Layout
Click to select a different layout for the log window.

Edit Document
Click to open the document in Edit mode.
Find
Click to filter all items in the active table by a particular word or phrase.
Return to Control Center
Click to return to the Workspace.
Columns:
Title
The name of the item.
Click it to open the submittal package document window in View mode.
Package
A unique identification code for the package.
You can identify the package using the standard Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) codes.
For example, reserve the first five characters in the Package field for the CSI division number, and use the remaining four characters to uniquely identify the package. For example, if the project contains three packages for mechanical work, identify them as 15000-001, 15000-002, and 15000-003.
Total Items
The number of submittals in this package.
Submitted
The number of submittals in the package submitted for approval.
Approved/Unapproved
The number of submittals in the package that are approved or not.
Received From/Received From Contact
The company and contact you will receive the submittal package from.
Sent To/Sent To Contact
The company and contact you will send the submittal package to.
Returned By/Returned By Contact
The company and contact who will return the submittal package to you, after reviewing it.
Forwarded To/Forwarded To Contact
The company and contact you will forward the submittal package to.
Status
The item's status.
Ball in Court/BIC Contact
The company and contact currently responsible for this item.
Required Start
The date the submittal process must start.
Contract Management calculates the Required Start date based on the earliest Required Start date of all the submittals in the package.
Required Finish
The date the submittal process must finish.
Contract Management calculates the Required Finish date based on the latest Required Finish date of all the submittals in the package.
Contract
The contract number, if any, to which the item refers. Click to open the Contract Document Window.
Activity ID
The P6 EPPM activity associated with this item.
Priority
The priority level for this item, which will appear in the BIC’s Action List.
Custom Field columns
Each custom field assigned to the issues table is shown with applicable values. Custom fields enable you to define additional information about a project; define them outside the project by right-clicking on the top-level folder (All Projects) in the Project View and choosing Custom Fields.

Click to display the list of actions you can perform on the current window.
How to access this log window:
Expand the Logs folder in the Project View and click Submittal Packages.
